Katie and John were married on June 8, and their big day kicked off a very exciting and busy wedding season for Little Guy Productions!

Katie and John's big day was filled with laughter, tears, smiles, and most importantly, a visit from Ms. Irwin's class at the church. 

Katie and John's wedding featured some new Little Guy Production cameras and shooting techniques. The highlight reel footage was almost entirely composed with footage shot from DSLR cameras.

We used a Canon 5D, a Canon T2i, and a Canon 7D to film everything from the bride getting ready to the first dance and cake cutting. This was the first time we relied heavily on these types of cameras, a change we felt we needed to make because those massive HD cameras weren't fitting well in tight environments.

Carolyn and David

If you're an avid reader of the Little Guy Productions website (let's be honest, who isn't?) you might recognize Carolyn and David from one of our earlier Wedding Highlight Videos: Lauren and James.

Carolyn (Lauren's sister) and David (James' brother) flip flopped Bride/Groom and Maid of Honor/Best Man duties on June 16, 2012 as the two were married at a beautiful church upstate.

The reception was held at Patriot Hills in Stony Point, NY and featured some very touching moments. The groom's father sang the newly weds first dance song and Lauren and James gave a very comical combined toast that payed homage to the toast Carolyn and David gave only two short years ago.

One of the best compliments we can receive is to be asked to share in a couple's big day. It was extremely special to be asked to film a second wedding for the same family.

Little Guy Productions Going Green

Little Guy Productions is proud to announce that starting 2012, we'll be doing our part to "go green".

We will be purchasing DVD Amaray cases that utilize less plastic than the brands we've previously used. We're also switching to recycled paper sleeve window CD/DVD holders.

We've moved completely away from tape based media. Going tapeless allows us to stop purchasing miniDV tapes. 

We realize these are just small steps in a much larger picture, so if you have any suggestions or advice on how to get a little greener, we'd love to hear them! Leave a comment below!

Tara and John Wedding Highlights

Here's a quick looks at Tara and John's wedding! Tara and John got married at the Fordham University Church and had their reception at The Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle, NY.

Kristen and I worked with Nick Carter (photography) and the DJ Company, and as usual, we had a blast with them. (We make a good trio).

Filming Tara and John's wedding was special for me, because I was lucky enough to grow up with the bride and her brother. I hold a lot of great memories of the family, and to be able to film Tara's wedding is something I'll always remember and am extremely proud of.
